Cullowhee, N.C. - The 2004 Southern Conference Volleyball Championships kick of this week beginning Friday, November 19 at the Ramsey Center on the campus of Western Carolina University. The first round matches will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning, with the tournament concluding on Sunday, November 21 with the championship match at 2:00.
Appalachian State (24-7, 15-1) comes into the tournament as the top seed from the North Division and will take on the South Division's fourth-seed Davidson (10-22, 7-9) in the first match of the tournament at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The second match of the tournament will feature the South Division's second-seed Georgia Southern (19-9, 13-3) and the North Divison's number three seed Western Carolina (12-15, 8-8) at Noon. At 3:00 p.m., the South's number one seed College of Charleston (23-5, 15-1) will do battle with the North's number four seed Chattanooga (9-20, 6-10). In the last match of the day at 5:00 p.m., the North Division's second-seed Elon (18-13, 10-6) takes on the South's three seed Furman (15-14, 8-8).
The semifinals will be on Saturday, November 20 with the first match at 2:00 p.m., followed by the second semifinal match at 4:30 p.m. Sunday's championship match will be played at 2:00 p.m.
All session passes are available for $25 for adults and $12 for students/youth. Single game ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 students/youth.
