CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball will host a mid-week Southern Conference match with rival Appalachian State at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Ramsey Center.

It is the first of the three final home matches of the 2009 season, as Western Carolina closes out its season, at home, November 14-15. The Catamounts are currently 3-22 on the season and 0-11 in the Southern Conference. Appalachian State is 10-15 overall and 6-5 in the SoCon.

Senior Amanda Kerr leads the Catamounts with 159 kills averaging 2.27 kills per game. Fellow senior Liz Rondone has 2067 digs in her career, making her the first player in Catamount volleyball history to go over 2,000 digs in her career. Although the Southern Conference does not have an official top-10 list for digs in a career, Rondone trails the all-time SoCon leader Laura Newberry from Chattanooga who had 2,320.

Live video and statistical coverage of the contest can be found on GameTracker online and at Catamount All-Access.
