ASHEVILLE, NC - Western Carolina's Sara Komosinski and Furman's Laura Bush were selected as the Southern Conference's Volleyball Co-Players of the Week for matches played through October 29.

Western Carolina sophomore middle blocker Sara Komosinski recorded three double-doubles in helping the Lady Catamounts to a perfect 3-0 record last week. WCU defeated conference front runner Georgia Southern, as well as completed season sweeps of Davidson and Chattanooga to remain undefeated at home in 2001.

Komosinski tallied 41 kills (4.10 average per game) on 88 total attacks for an attack percentage of .375. She added 37 digs, 10 total blocks, five service aces and a pair of assists. She currently has career totals of 605 kills, 503 digs, and 203 blocks.

Bush and Komosinski will face off against each other Wednesday night when Western Carolina travels to Greenville, SC, to battle the Lady Paladins in SoCon action.
