Oct. 24, 2008

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball will host two of its final four home matches of the season this weekend. The Catamounts will play College of Charleston at 7 p.m. tonight and will also face The Citadel at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Western Carolina will host its "Dig for a Cure" on Saturday against The Citadel. Individual sponsors can pledge money per Catamount kill, block, assist, service ace and dig earned by the Catamounts during the match or can make a flat donation for the cause.

The club went 1-1 last week, defeating Appalachian State 3-1 and falling to Wofford 3-1. Western Carolina is currently 4-18 and 2-7 in the Southern Conference. The Catamounts are two matches back from the coveted fourth position in the North, trying to vie for a spot in the Southern Conference Tournament with nine SoCon matches remaining.
