ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Western Carolina's Christy Attebery and the College of Charleston's Aly VanCleave were selected as the Southern Conference's Volleyball Co-Players of the Week for matches played through October 22.

This is the second player of the week selection for Attebery this season. A senior outside hitter from Las Vegas, NV, Attebery moved into second place in the WCU record books for career service aces. She has a total of 147 in her career. In a loss to East Tennessee State, Attebery recorded 32 digs, just two shy of another WCU record.

Last week, she helped the Lady Catamounts to a 3-1 mark while maintaining their perfect 11-0 record at home in the Ramsey Center. She also had double-doubles in three of the four matches. On the week, Attebery had 59 kills (4.54 average) and an attack percentage of .284. She tallied 68 digs, seven service aces, seven assists, and six total blocks.
