Western Carolina Volleyball Returns Home for Three-Match Home Stand

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball returns home to the friendly confines of the Ramsey Center for a three-match home stand beginning with a pair of Southern Conference matches this weekend. The Catamounts welcome Georgia Southern at 6 p.m. Friday and Davidson at 2 p.m. Sunday.

After shocking Elon 3-2, on September 28, Western Carolina has dropped three-straight matches and looking to get back to the winning ways this weekend. The Catamounts are currently 3-15 overall and 1-4 in the Southern Conference.

Also, junior Liz Rondone is chasing the Western Carolina career digs record. The libero from Bloomington, Illinois currently has 1,648 career digs and needs 35 to break the record of 1,682 set by Christy Atteberry.

The Catamounts are led by freshman Carrie Minogue who has 143 kills and is averaging 2.31 kills per game. Following closely behind is junior Amanda Kerr who has 131 kills averaging 2.11 kills per game.
