CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Feshman Leah Best took time out of her busy class and practice schedule to give fans a look into her life off of the volleyball court.

After two weeks of class, what's your favorite class: Why? If lunch was considered a class, it would be lunch. Other than that, my American History class with Mr. Macaulay because he's a really enthusiastic and interesting teacher.
Why did you choose WCU: WCU offers every opportunity and many resources for me to be a successful athlete, student and person.
Favorite place to eat on campus: McAlister's- they have very good potatoes.
Other than volleyball, what is your favorite sport to play: Basketball
Favorite sport to watch: Soccer Any pre-game superstitions or any general superstitions: I have to put my clothes on in the same particular order every game.
Hobbies away from volleyball: Painting
With two weeks of collegiate volleyball under your belt, what's the biggest difference from high school volleyball: The speed of the game.
Athlete/person you admire the most: Curt Schilling
Something people might not know about me: I was born and raised in London, England and moved to America when I was about 10 years old.
Favorite quote or saying from Coach Concepcion: "Just pass the freakin ball!"
How often people ask you how tall you are: A lot. When someone does asks, I reply, " 6-foot-six, how short are you?"
Personal goal for the season: Do my best, block a couple balls, get a few kills and help my team to a winning season.
