CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball will face in-state rival UNC Asheville at 7 p.m. Wednesday in mid-week action. Fans can watch the match at www.bigsouthsports.com for $4.95.
The Catamounts are coming off three tough matches at the Kentucky Invitational, falling to reigning Sun Belt Tournament champion Florida International, No. 21 Kentucky and Northwester. Senior setter Katie Hennessey was named to the All-Tournament team, averaging 5.11 assists per game.
UNC Asheville went 2-2 at the North Carolina Central Invitational. The Bulldogs defeated South Carolina State and The Citadel and fell to UNC Wilmington and Elon.
Western Carolina lost to UNC Asheville last season 3-1 in Cullowhee. Overall, the Catamounts lead the series with the Bulldogs 23-17.
