Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina women's volleyball team achieved a team gpa of 3.31.
Freshman Michelle Gorton achieved a 3.734 gpa, that was tops on the team. Four of the 11 players made the Dean's List while five more earned a gpa of 3.0 or higher.
"This is a reflection of the quality of student-athletes in our volleyball program and how committed they are on the court as well as the classroom," stated Head Coach Michelle Hansen. "I am very proud to be a part of such a hard working group of sutdent-athletes."
WCU's student-athletes earned an overall gpa of 2.92, the average of all WCU students is 2.73. Of all 280 student-athletes four achieved a gpa of 4.0, 44 achieved Dean's List and 63 achieved a gpa of 3.0 or better.
