Third consecutive season with 20 wins or more for the first time since 1983 WCU has the longest active 20 win seasons in the Southern Conference The Lady Cats 2000 record was 20-14 overall, and 14-6 in the SoCon, they tied for fourth Junior outside hitter Christy Attebery and Freshman middle blocker Sara Komosinski both earned player of the week honors this year As a team WCU finished the 2000 season with league rankings of third in hitting percentage, fifth in kills, fourth in assists, sixth in aces, third in blocks, and fourth in digs Individually, WCU had four Cats ranked among the league leaders: Freshmen Sara Komosinski and Crissi Harrison were ranked third and tenth respectively in hitting percentage, Christy Attebery finished first in kills and second in digs, while Bri Milan-Williams was fifth in assists The Catamounts established new team records in kills for a season (1,976), attack attempts in a season (5,465), block assists in a season (404) , and digs in a season (2,271), which is a record that has stood for thirteen years Freshman middle blocker Sara Komosinski collected 125 total blocks (the most ever by a freshman in a season) tying her for third in WCU single season history, she also finished fourth in blocks per game (0.95) Bri Milan-Williams and Christy Attebery were named to the all-tournament teams and the Samford Invitational, Christy Attebery was also named all-tournament at the George Mason Tournament Junior setter Bri Milan-Williams has dished out 3,294 career assists (third in the WCU record books) and her 1,392 assists this season was good for second (to her total last season) in assists for a season. Her 11.70 assists per game ranks fourth all time (yet another category she leads) Junior outside hitter Christy Attebery had a great season, and continues to rewrite the record books. With 643 kills, she broke the ten year old WCU record for kills in a season. This also gives Attebery a total of 1,664 in her career (which is a new WCU record). Her 5.06 kills/g were good for third all time in a single season (she leads this category) and nineteenth in the nation. Her 38 kills vs. ETSU was the eighth highest kill production in the nation this season. Attebery also set records for attempts in a match (99 vs. Davidson) attempts in a season (1,728) and attempts in a career (4,494). She ranks second at WCU for digs in a season (479) and third in digs per game (3.77). Her 1,280 career digs ranks second in WCU history. WCU is the only SoCon team which has advanced to the semifinals of the conference tourney the last four years, WCU has also been to the finals twice Coach Hansen has compiled a 78-60 record in her four years at WCU, a .565 winning percent (second in school history) WCU had the best home attendance, the most road wins, and the best road winning percentage in the Southern Conference
