CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Western Carolina volleyball (3-24, 0-13 SoCon) dropped a match 3-0 at Chattanooga (12-15, 4-10 SoCon) Saturday.

Down 19-13 in the first set, Western Carolina outscored Chattanooga 7-6 before falling 25-20. The Mocs built an 18-8 advantage in the second set and took control early to cruise to a 25-15 win.

The Catamounts gave it all they could to force a game four in the third set, as the club was down 24-20, and scored four unanswered points to tie the set at 24. It was knotted at 25 and then at 26 before the Mocs took the final two points.

Junior Kara Lynzee Brooks led Western Carolina with seven kills. Senior setter Katie Hennessey added 23 assists.

The Catamounts will play their final Southern Conference road match of the season on Sunday at Samford. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
