Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina volleyball team welcomes The Citadel and Georgia Southern into the Ramsey Center to wrap-up a four-match home-stand.

The Catamounts enter the week at 14-6 overall and 4-2 in the Southern Conference ... WCU had its a six-match winning streak -- the longest streak since 2003 -- snapped with a pair of losses last weekend, 3-2 to Wofford (10/11) and 3-1 to Furman (10/13) ... WCU is off to its best start to season through 20 matches since the 2002 when the team started 14-6 ... The Catamounts picked up two wins over teams from a BCS conference -- 3-1 over Boston College (08/30) and 3-2 over Memphis (09/06) -- for the first time since 1987 ... WCU's win at Samford (11/04) snapped an 11-match losing streak to the Bulldogs ... Senior libero Morgan Cochran was named SoCon Player of the Month for the month of September ... Cochran leads the SoCon and is second in the NCAA with 6.05 digs per set ... She has turned in five 30-dig matches on the season including two in the same day -- 31 against N.C. A&T (09/14) and 30 at UNC Wilmington (09/14) ... She has five of the 11 30-dig matches in the SoCon this season ... WCU has had three players named SoCon Player of the Week -- Cochran, week three, and Addy George, week four, earned defensive honors and Jordan Timmermann earned offensive honors in week three ... Timmermann leads the team, and seventh in the SoCon, with 3.12 kills per set ... George paces WCU and the league with 1.29 blocks per set to rank 37th in the NCAA ... George also leads the team with a .281 hitting percentage ... Cristina Nazario is sixth in the league with 9.91 assists per set ... WCU leads the SoCon -- third in the NCAA -- with 18.32 digs per set ... They top the league with 2.41 blocks per set ... WCU limits opposing teams to a .167 hitting percentage, second in the league ... Karen Glover, who was named 2011 SoCon Coach of the Year, is in her third season at the helm of the Catamount program ...
