Las Vegas, Nev. - Senior Christy Attebery was named to the all-tournament team at the UNLV Tournament despite the team falling to a 4-4 record.

Attebery tallied 42 kills during the weekend for an average of 3.50 per game. The Las Vegas, Nev. Also recorded 39 digs (3.25 per game) and five total blocks.

In the final day of the tournament the Cats fell to UNLV by scores of 30-28, 30-21 and 30-23. WCU was led by Attebery in kills with 13 and recorded eight digs. Freshman Stefanie Peters led the team in digs with 14.

WCU later fell to Gonzaga 30-20, 30-27 and 30-22. Again Attebery led the team in kills (11) and Peters in digs (20). Peters also recorded three blocks during the match.

The Catamounts will travel to Greensboro September 14, game time is 7:00 p.m.
