Cullowhee, N.C. - The start time of the Western Carolina - Charlotte women's tennis match has been moved up an hour, announced head coach Jan Stubbs. The match is now scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm on The Courts at Reid Gym.

Western has dropped two-in-a-row to the 49ers dating back to the 2000 season. Inclement weather caused the cancellation of scheduled 2002 meeting between the two schools. Charlotte enters the match having won two straight, including most recently sweeping SoCon-member Appalachian State, 7-0.

Wednesday will be the final home match for Western Carolina senior Kristin Cotton. The Clemson, S.C., native has recorded 32 wins in the third through sixth flights of singles. She has also teamed with six different doubles partners through her four years in Cullowhee, compiling 28 victories between all three positions.

Earlier this season, Cotton won her bracket at the East Tennessee State Invitational, winning four matches en route to the victory. At the NC State Invitational in the fall, Cotton placed second in her singles flight, while teaming with freshman Ashley Harris to win the consolation bracket in doubles competition.
