CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Western Carolina Women's Tennis team is set to compete against the Mars Hill Lions on Friday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Catamount Athletic Complex.

The Catamounts enter Friday's match after strong singles play against Coastal Carolina last Saturday. After gaining first set wins in four singles matches, play was halted by snow.

Freshman Stacia Kissell dominated Coastal's Alicia Robinson, 6-0, in the first set of No. 1 singles. Kissell was down 5-1 in the second set.

Other first set winners include Karen Jiménez (6-2, 4-2), Shannon Bettiol (6-4, 2-3), and Erin Maguire (6-2, 1-3). WCU's Nicole Nielly led Coastal's Kortney Kowal, 4-3, in second set of No. 4 singles after dropping the first.
