In the doubles matches, Western Carolina picked up two wins. In Flight 1, freshmen Shannon Bettiol and Nicole Nielly faced Hamel and Soldier from mountain-rival UNC Asheville. The Catamount duo downed the pair from Asheville by a score of 8-6. The second win for the Catamounts featured the same duo, Bettiol and Nielly, this time against Lunde and Doost of the home Gardner-Webb team in Flight 2. Needing an extra point to get the win, the freshmen duo downed the Bulldogs 9-7.

In a very close match against Jenny Lunde of Gardner-Webb, Nicole Nielly won the first set 7-6 (3), before falling 5-7 to force the tiebreak. She fell in the tiebreak 2-10.

Nielly then participated in two matches in the third flight. She dropped both of those to Amryn Soldier (UNCA, 1-6, 1-6) and Taylor Cohen (UNCA, 7-6, 0-6, 7-10). Also in Flight 3, Shannon Bettiol defeated Ronia Hutterli (GW, 6-3, 5-7, 10-2). Bettiol then fell in two matches in the fourth flight.
