Phatsuwane (Virginia Intermont) 6-3, 6-4. Shelby Fitzpatrick won her first match over Marcelina Gogol (Virginia Intermont) 6-2, 6-2

Erin Johnson was on a roll defeating Charisma Billings (Virginia Intermont) 6-2, 6-1, Diana Marti (Milligan) 6-2, 6-1 and Anna Martin
(Wofford) 6-1, 6-2 in the semis. However, Johnson had to withdraw in the finals due to a hamstring injury. She would have played
Mami Inoue from ETSU.
In flight three Emmy King defeated Valerie Geise of Lees-Mcrae 6-0, 6-3. She then lost in the quarters to Cara Prupas of ETSU
7-5, 6-1.
In the doubles matches Fitzpatrick and King defeated Geddings and Stokes of Newberry 8-2 in flight one and to Hernandez &
Rivera of Tennessee Tech 8-1 in the quarters.
In flight two Zalinski and Munn defeated Dunn and Coulter of Carson-Newman 8-0 and had to retire in the semis due to Zalainski's
quad injury.
"Overall it was a good weekend. We found out that our doubles play needs a lot of work," said Head Coach Jan Stubbs. "We
have a young team and no set double partners so it is hard for the girls to get in grove."
