DURHAM, N.C. - Western Carolina women's tennis (5-16) won its final regular season match of the season, defeating North Carolina Central (3-16) 5-2 Saturday.

The Catamounts dropped the doubles point, but won five of the six singles matches to take the match. Senior Amanda Massey had the highlight match of the afternoon coming back, after dropping the firs set 7-6, to win at No. 2 singles. Massey defeated Ashley Rogers 6-7, 7-5, 6-2.

Western Carolina will be back in action Thursday, April 23 in the first round of the Southern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament. The Catamounts, the No. 11 seed, face No. 6 seed Elon at 1 p.m. in Burlington, N.C.
