ELON, N.C. - Western Carolina women's tennis (3-16, 0-9 SoCon) got a victory at No. four singles but fell to Elon (14-9, 5-4 SoCon) 6-1 Saturday at Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.

Mariona Jane defeated Elon's Hayley Wahl at No. 4 singles in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 for the lone Catamount victory. The doubles tandem of Trish Hanson and Tessie Salame played a close match at No. 1 doubles before falling 8-6 to the Phoenix duo of Deanna Bailey and Anna Milian.

Western Carolina will play its final home match of the season Sunday when the club hosts North Carolina Center. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
