CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Western Carolina women's tennis (5-13, 0-9 SoCon) won two singles matches but fell 5-2 to Chattanooga (10-15, 2-6 SoCon) Thursday at the UTC Tennis Complex in the final regular season Southern Conference match of the season.
The Catamounts got wins at the No. 2 singles spot and No. 5 singles slot. Trish Hanson defeated Lindsey Ballard 6-7, 6-1, 1-0(4) at No. 2 singles and Mariona Trilla Jane defeated Ksiezopolski 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
Amanda Massey was the third Western Carolina player to go to a tiebreaker but lost 3-6, 7-5, 0-1(11) to Bonnie Adams at No. 4 singles.
The Catamounts return to action on Saturday hosting Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m.
