Western Carolina Falls 7-0 to Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Western Carolina women's tennis team fell to Southern Conference opponent Chattanooga Saturday 7-0.

Freshman Kristin Munn put up a battle in the first set against UTC's Daniela Greco in a 7-5 loss. She lost the second 6-1 at No. 1. Junior Shelby Fitzpatrick fell to Cynthia Oulevay by scores of 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 and freshman Erin Johnson fell to Catherine Allen 6-1, 6-2 at No 3. Freshman Shannon Zalinski fell to Katie Hangstefer with scores of 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4. Junior Emmy King fought hard in the first set against opponent Jaclyn Wooten. King fell 7-5 in the first set and 6-0 in the second at No. 5 and junior Amy Rex fell to Lauren Snipes 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
