Cullowhee, N.C. - Due to scheduling issues, the rescheduled women's tennis match between Western Carolina and UNC Asheville that was slated to take place on Wednesday afternoon at the Catamount Athletic Complex has again been cancelled. This time, however, the Bulldogs will forfeit the match to WCU, giving the Catamounts their third victory of the season.

The mountain rivals were originally slated to play back on Tuesday, February 28th in Cullowhee, but had to postpone the match, rescheduling for Wednesday before cancelling again on Tuesday afternoon. With both teams' calendars virtually booked through the end of the season, the staff at UNC Asheville conceded the match to Western.

The Catamounts (3-10) will open the Catamount Athletic Complex this Thursday when they return to action, hosting the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 2:30 pm. The match will be the first played at the new facility since its completion last spring.
