ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Western Carolina women's tennis (3-6, 0-1 SoCon) dropped its opening Southern Conference match of the season 7-0 to Elon Sunday at the Grove Park Inn.

The Catamounts were swept in doubles play buy Elon and then the Phoenix took all the match points in singles as well. Western Carolina returns to action Tuesday March 17 at Wofford. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
