Charleston, S.C. - The Western Carolina women's tennis team fell to College of Charleston Sunday 7-0 in collegiate tennis action at the Silcox Courts.

WCU's Shelby Fitzpatrick lost a hard fought battle in the first game 6-3 to Charleston's Marcella Valkenhoff. She then fell 6-1 in the second game. Emmy King and Amy Rex also fell 6-3 in a close fight with Whitney Malina and Emily Scatuorchio respectively. They both fell 6-0 in the second game.

The women's team will next play Marist Monday, March 12 at 6 p.m.
