Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina's women's tennis team fell to Wright State, 1-6, in their final match of the Eastern Kentucky Invitational on Saturday. The lady Catamounts stand at 2-4 for the season.

Number one seed, Kristin Munn, picked up the lone victory for Western Saturday in singles play defeating Kara Dunbar of Wright State, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1.

"I could tell the girls were tired from Friday, but Wright State just played better than we did," said Coach Stubbs. "I am very pleased, though, with our performance on Friday (against Eastern Kentucky). It was the first time we had beaten them in three years, so that was big for us. I was glad to see them come out with a win in the three set matches. Those are the ones we lost last year. Another year of experience and maturity has helped them in that sense."

The Lady Catamounts will host College of Charleston today, March 4, at 1:30 pm at the Reid Gym Courts on campus. To note a change in schedule, the match this Saturday, March 9, at home against Eastern Kentucky has been cancelled. No reschedule date has been set at this time.
