A native of Florida, Chris Wollett joins the Catamounts after serving as the head tennis professional at the Country Club of Ocala. Wollett played collegiately for the University of Mary Washington, where he was named team captain in 2001 and 2002. After reaching the NCAA tournament, the Eagles finished the 2002 season ranked in the top 15 in Division III. Wollett then transferred to the University of North Florida for his senior year where he earned a degree in International Studies in 2003.

During his first season at the helm, Western Carolina picked up its first win over conference-foe Davidson in over ten years.

"Having my first two years at Western under my belt, I'm excited about the foundation being built for the future of the Catamount tennis program," stated Wollett.
