CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina softball had six players named to the NFCA Girl's Got Game Academic Team and the Catamounts were ranked 54th with a team GPA of 3.182.
Current Catamount players Stephanie Beatty, Mollie Fowler, Danielle Reese and Beth Hauser all received individual accolades, as well as former players Michelle Tating and Lilly McDonagh.
Beatty, Fowler and Hauser are all seniors on the club while Reese is a junior. Beatty carries a 3.392 in Criminal Justice, Fowler has a 3.73 in Elementary Education, Hauser has a 3.57 in art and Reese has a 3.77 in Political Science.
