CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina University softball has a pair of opportunities to be involved with the team for the 2013 season. The Catamounts will be hosting tryouts for the team in late August and is also looking for a team manager for the squad.
Anyone interested in trying out for the team must fill out the forms below by August 20, 2012. After filling out the forms, Assistant Coach Danielle Glossonwill contact those interested in trying out giving information on an actual tryout date.
The team is also seeking someone to serve as the team manager. It's a great way to become involved in Catamount Athletics and help the softball team. The manager is an integral part of running the team, taking part in all team activities, as well as travels with the team.
The manager is responsible for laundering the player's uniforms and placing them in their locker, organizing and maintaining the equipment and storage rooms and attending practices to assists in set-up, videotaping, editing and possible assisting coaches during drills.
During a game, the manager will handle pre-game responsibilities, video tape the games, handling editing of the game film and help chart games. Other assignments will be designated by Head Coach Jim Clift.
