2013 Southern Conference Championship Bracket

A Western Carolina victory, over College of Charleston, would keep the Catamounts in the winners bracket and WCU would face the winner of No. 3 seeded Georgia Southern and No. 6 seeded Chattanooga at 2 p.m. Thursday. Should the Catamounts loose, WCU would play the loser of the same game at 9 a.m. Thursday.

This is the second-straight season Western Carolina has avoided the play-in game after earning a No. 6 seed in 2012. Last season, the Catamounts were 0-2 in the tournament and in the 2011 SoCon Tournament Western Carolina lost the play-in game 5-4 to Furman.

Overall, Western Carolina is 3-11 in the Southern Conference Championships since the inception of the program in 2006. The Catamounts best showing was in 2007 when WCU went 2-2 and reached the semi-finals of the tournament. Western Carolina went 1-2 in 2009.
