PANTHERSVILLE, Ga. - Western Carolina softball (2-10) dropped a pair of games Saturday at the Georgia State Spring Showdown. The Catamounts fell 16-0 in the game against host Georgia State and then lost to Kennesaw State 8-0.

Freshman pitcher Lilly McDonagh drew the loss against Georgia State. She falls to 0-5 on the season. Jamie Swank, Lauren Ross, Mollie Fowler and Heather Prichard each had hits in the game.

The Catamounts suffered their second consecutive shutout of the day against Kennesaw State. Junior Lauren Ross is still looking for a win on the mound falling to 0-4 on the year. Freshman Amber Hawkins was the only Western Carolina player to get a hit in the game.

Western Carolina returns to action Sunday facing Evansville at 10 a.m. in the final game of the Georgia State Spring Showdown.
