Notes: Tossed Western's first-ever, no-hitter in a 12-0, five-inning shutout victory over Alabama A&M on day two of the Best Western Catamount Classic (3/18/06) ... Perhaps WCU's most versatile player after starting in five different positions last season (pitcher, 20; second base, 8; left field, 26; right field, 4; designated hitter, 20) ... Was named to the Dean's List both semesters during her freshman year with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

2006 (Freshman): Started 58 of her 59 total game appearances ... Her seasonal batting average of .300 ranked fourth on the team and 14th in the SoCon, while her slugging percentage (.533) ranked fourth at WCU and fifth in the league ... Her 11 home runs ranked tied with teammate Lauren Ross for sixth in the SoCon, while her 44 RBI ranked her tied for fourth and 96 total bases ranked 10th ... Led WCU with 17 multiple hit games and was second with 13 multiple RBI outings ... Named to the Best Western Catamount Classic All-Tournament team ... As a pitcher, her 2.27 ERA led the team and ranked second in the conference, while her 15 wins was tied for fifth and 16 complete games and three shutouts were both tied for sixth ... Was tabbed both the SoCon Player of the Week (Mar. 20) and SoCon Pitcher of the Week (April 3) during the season ... Named the 2006 Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, as well as selected to the first team All-SoCon ... Tabbed as the team's "Player of the Year" by the coaching staff ... Was one of four returning Catamounts to be awarded the SoCon's Commissioner's Medals ... Was also named to the SoCon's Honor Roll for the 2005-06 academic year.

High School: Was a four-year All-Eastern Carolina Conference (ECC) selection, earning the league's Player of the Year honor three times ... Started her prep career at third base before taking to the rubber during the playoffs of her freshman season ... Earned NCFSCA 3-A All-State honors as a senior, helping her high school finish the season ranked third in the final 3-A poll ... Concluded her prep career with 778 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.49 ... Compiled an overall record of 64-9, with four of those losses coming in the final four of the state playoffs and three of the remaining defeats coming by one run ... Ranks among the NCHSAA leaders with 41 career shutouts, including 12 no-hitters and four perfect games to rank third in North Carolina history ... In 2003, as a sophomore, pitched 87-consecutive innings without allowing an earned run, the third-longest streak in NCHSAA history ... At the plate, hit .385 for her career, including a career-best .481 as a junior ... Had her jersey at Aycock High retired on Oct. 28, 2005 ... Was a Wendy's High School Heisman Award winner ... Also earned all-conference accolades as the team captain of the volleyball team.
