College Sports Madness Honors Pannell and Studnicky With All-Conference Honors

Sophomore Kelly Pannell was named to the College Sports Madness SoCon All-Conference First Team.

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Kelly Pannell, a sophomore forward/midfielder, was named to the College Sports Madness 2013 Southern Conference All-Conference First Team and teammate sophomore forward Markie-Lynn Studnicky was named to the second team as announced today.

Pannell, from Sale Creek, Tenn., leads Western Carolina with eight goals tying her for fifth in the SoCon. She also has five assists which also tops the team and a total of 21 points. Her 21 total points ranks her fourth in the SoCon. Pannell has scored two goals twice this season and has one game-winning goal.

Studnicky, from Apex, N.C., is tied for second on the team with five goals and also ranks second on the team with three assists. Studnicky also has one game-winning goal and has a total of 13 points.
