Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina senior guard Casey Rogers will be out for two-three weeks after spraining his right ankle during last Monday's intrasquad scrimmage. The Morganton, N.C., native is schedule to be back on the floor for the Catamount's season opener on Nov. 19 (Monday) when Western hosts Tennessee Wesleyan at 7 pm in the Ramsey Activity Center.

"We initially thought the injury to Casey was much worse so I am pleased that he will only miss these next couple of weeks," said WCU head coach Steve Shurina. "He will be missed at practice because he brings such leadership and intensity to each workout. I am interested to see who will step up in practice and our scrimmages in his absence. I fully expect Casey to be back for our first game."

Rogers is a four-year starter for the Catamounts and only needs nine points to reach 1,000 for his career.
