SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Laura Greb, a senior on the Western Carolina women's soccer team, has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for October 24, the league office announced today.
The Robbinsville, N.J., native holds a 3.75 GPA in Health/Physical Education. The forward made her senior day even more memorable by scoring the game-winning goal in the Catamounts' 3-2 win over The Citadel on Sunday.
Greb took a pass from teammate Madison Lee and headed the ball into the net. It was the second game-winning goal of her career. She also had an assist against College of Charleston on October 19 for a total of three points over the weekend of games.
Greb earns the first Southern Conference Student-Athelte of the Week nod for Western Carolina University in the 2012-13 season.
