Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina University and the Catamount Athletic Complex will be the site of the 2006 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championships in early November.
The tournament will take a different look this season as eight teams will make the post-season based upon their regular-season finish. The top four teams will entertain the lower four seeds on their home fields in first round tournament action on Tuesday, Oct. 31 with the winners advancing to play in Cullowhee on Nov. 3.
The first semifinal match between #7 Georgia Southern and #3 Furman will be played at the Catamount Athletic Complex on Friday, Nov. 3 at 4:30 pm. It will be followed at 7:00 pm by the second semifinal match between the top-seeded UNC Greensboro Spartans and fifth-seeded Western Carolina.
The tournament championship will be played on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 1:00 pm, with the winner garnering the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA Women's College Cup Championship tournament.

Sunday, Nov. 5 - Championship Round (Catamount Athletic Complex) #3 Furman vs. #1 UNC Greensboro - 1:00 pm
Championship Ticket Prices: Adult One Day Ticket: $5.00 Student/Youth One Day Ticket: $3.00 NOTE: Schools will NOT receive complimentary tickets to the Championship.
