Game Notes for Tennessee Match 
Cullowhee, N.C. - The Catamount women's soccer team wraps up its four-game road trip with a visit to the University of Tennessee on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.
Western Carolina (2-2-1) is coming off a strong showing at the Hurricane Cup in Miami, Fla., where WCU played two back-to-back Top-25 programs. No. 22 Miami took a 1-0 victory over the Catamounts in the first game of the tournament, but Western Carolina resurged to shutout No. 23 Dayton in a 0-0 draw last Sunday.
Goalkeeper Caitlin Williams fended away a career-high 14 shots and inked her 16th career shutout against the Flyers. Williams made 17 stops in the tournament, earning the Hurricane Cup MVP honors. Senior Shanna Schmoker also earned All-tournament distinction after recording four shots on goal. Schmoker is tied with Jenny Matteson for a team-high nine shots.
Senior Nikki Lombardo leads the Catamounts offensively with three points (one goal and one assist). Lombardo scored the game winner and recorded an assist against East Tennessee State on Aug. 28.
Sunday's matchup will be the Catamount's fourth against a regionally or nationally ranked program. The Lady Vols (3-2-1) are ranked No. 8 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) South Regional poll.
Western Carolina and Tennessee are meeting for the third time. Tennessee holds the advantage 2-0 with Tennessee edging the Catamounts 3-0 in Knoxville last season.
Tennessee, coached by Angela Kelly, has not lost a match since a 1-0 decision to Pepperdine on Aug. 30. Since then the Lady Vols have picked up wins over Wisconsin and Memphis.
Mick Imgram and Emily Dowd tallied the pair of goals against Memphis on Friday. Imgram, a senior forward, leads Tennessee with eight points (three goals and two assists), while the sophomore Dowd has six (two goals and two assists).
Goalkeeper Molly Baird was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week and the Lady Vol Athlete of the Week honors after posting a shutout of over 250 minutes. Baird's streak ended against Memphis with a time of 323:26 scoreless minutes.
