CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina women's soccer opens the 2013 season tonight at 7 p.m. hosting Lipscomb at the Catamount Athletic Complex.
It is Neon Night and fans are encouraged to wear bright neon colors to stand out and show support for the Catamount soccer team. If you don't have anything neon, Western Carolina Athletics will be tossing out neon "Game Day" T-shirts at kick-off. There will also be soccer bingo during the game so pick up your bingo cards as you enter the complex.
Western Carolina and Lipscomb meet for the first time in the two school's history. The Catamounts are 11-3 in home openers and 7-7 in matches to start the season.
In its lone exhibition, on August 16, the Catamounts defeated High Point 5-0. Junior midfielder Christine Cockrell had two assists in the match and five different players scored.
After hosting Lipscomb, Western Carolina will travel to Richmond, Kentucky on Sunday to take on Eastern Kentucky at 3 p.m.
