Final Stats

Atlanta, Ga. - The Western Carolina women's soccer team fell to Georgia State, 2-1, in the teams final regular season game.

After a scoreless first half, the Catamounts got on the board early in the second half when junior Kelly Barker scored on a breakaway goal in the 46th minute to give Western Carolina the 1-0 lead.

Georgia State scored in the 78th minute after Stephanie Fidanza hit the back of the net with the assist by Kim Forrest. Ashley Edwards hit the game winning goal at the 87:10 mark.

The Cats will be on the road to Greenvill, S.C. for the Southern Conference Championship. Western will play Wofford, Thursday, November 8 at 7:30 pm.'
