Cookeville, Tenn. - The Western Carolina women's soccer team fell 1-3 to Tennessee Tech, Wednesday night.

WCU's lone goal was scored at the 20:17 mark by freshman Lauren Bramlett with a long shot from the middle after Tech's attempt to clear the ball found its way to Bramlett.

Tech's Kelli McCoy headed in a corner kick from Kristin Stegeman to mark the first goal for the Golden Eagles. McCoy also scored the team's second goal at 29:00 with teammate Angela Freund scoring the third at 79:21.

The Lady Cats outshot Tech 18-16. Goalkeeper Mandi Tinsley recorded four saves for the Cats while leading scorer Jordan Howell tallied seven shots.
