Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina women's soccer team rallied against Davidson in the second half to take a 3-1 victory Sunday afternoon. The Catamounts (11-3, 5-1) boast an 8-0 home record after notching first ever wins over UNC Greensboro (2-1 in double overtime) and Davidson (3-1).

Nardia Moore scored the games first goal at 33:40 with the assist by Jordan Howell. Davidson answered with a goal by Heather Maloney at 43:50, she was assisted by her sister Tara Maloney.

Late in the second half (85:18) Western's Brittany Bennefield scored her first goal of the season off a breakaway pass from Brandy Ossmann. Felicia Wilson finished off the scoring at 86:57 for her sixth goal of the season. Wilson was assisted by Kelly Barker.

Barker led the Catamounts in shots with six, Wilson added five. WCU goalkeeper Mandi Tinsley recorded four saves on nine shots against.

Western Carolina travels to Wofford, Friday October 19 at 7:00 pm.
