STATESBORO, Ga. - The Western Carolina women's soccer team fell by a dissapointing 1-0 to Southern Conference rival Georgia Southern Friday night in Statesboro, Ga.

Freshman Katy Znosko's scored Georgia Southern's lone goal at 8:15 to be the difference as Georgia Southern pulled out a 1-0 victory.

Junior Nardia Moore and sophomore Kristen Deon led the team with two shots each while junior Mandi Tinsley recorded six saves. The Eagles outshot Western Carolina 11-6. The Catamounts ended GSU's season last year, upsetting the Eagles in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament.

Western Carolina falls to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the SoCon. The Eagles, who improve to 4-3-1 and 2-0-1 in Southern Conference play. The Catamounts will travel to College of Charleston Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 pm.
