Final Stats

Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina (2-4-1, 1-1) dropped a 1-0 decision against Davidson (4-4-0, 1-0) at home in Southern Conference soccer action Saturday afternoon at Schrader Field.

Davidson's Anne Stevens scored what would turn out to be the game wining goal on an unassisted shot from 25 yards out in the 73rd minute, to give the Wildcats a 1-0 win.

Offensively the Catamounts outshot Davidson 16-7, and were lead by freshman forward Stephanie Svoboda who recorded five shots, including three shots on goal. Defensively, Western held the Wildcats to just seven shots on the day, and senior goalkeeper Tina Weaver recorded three saves.

Western Carolina returns to action Monday, September 22 on the road at Liberty. The match is scheduled to start at 3 pm.
