Morehead, Ky - The Western Carolina women's soccer team recorded its second shutout with a 5-0 victory over Indiana State Saturday afternoon at Morehead State.
Freshman Jordan Howell scored her second hat trick for the season and her career as a Catamount. She started the game with a goal with a rebound off the Indiana
State keeper just 1:41 into the game. Sophomore Morgan Foresman followed it up with a goal over the keepers head at 7:53. Howell then scored WCU's next two
goals with assists by Lauren Bramlett and Kelly Barker to make the score 4-0. Sophomore Yasmin Morton finished the first half with a goal at 34:38 with an
unassisted free ball from behind the defense.
Sophomore Mandi Tinsley started the game and recorded 65:30 minutes of play and two saves. Freshman Tina Weaver entered the game giving the two the combined
shutout.
They Lady Cats will play their first home game Monday, September 11th at 3:00 against Troy State on the newly dedicated Charles W. Schrader Field.
