Kristie Bowers, joined the Catamount Soccer coaching staff as the goalkeepr coach prior to the start of the fall of 2007.
A 2007 graduate from the State University of Binghamton in New York, Bowers was a four year starter in the goal for the Bearcats. Over her four year career Bowers accumulated a saves percentage of .81%, with an average of 5.18 saves per game, and an average of 1.23 goals against per game.
She was a three time America East Conference player of the week, a two time ECAC player of the week, and also earned an All-Conference Honorable Mention. In her junior season, Bowers was ranked 5 th in the nation in shots on goal saves percentage and 29th in the nation in goals against average. She ended her career at Binghamton breaking both the most minutes played by a BU Goalkeeper with 6544 minutes and the most career saves with 383 saves.
Bowers was honored in her final year at Binghamton with the Jesse A. Godfrey Award for a significant contribution to the athletics program based on career athletic achievement, and other meaningful contributions to the University. She was a two-year member of the executive board for the university SAAC, and represented BU at both America East and the NCAA regional conferences. Bowers also was a four-year member of the Athletic volunteer group Peer PRIDE.
During Bowers' four years, Binghamton captured one America East League title, making an NCAA tournament appearance during her sophomore year in 2004. Originally from Rochester, NY, Bowers earned her bachelor's degree in Human Development with a dual minor in Biology and Chemistry.
