Fort Chiswell, Va. - After one round of play in the season-opening Draper Valley Intercollegiate, the Western Carolina Women's Golf team fired a team 292, which ties for the fifth-best team single-round in school history. The team is scheduled to complete the second round of 18 holes on Monday afternoon, with the final round slated for Tuesday morning.

As of this time, there is no record of team standings as all of the teams are currently still on the course. Full results will be made available later this afternoon when they are relayed from the host school, Appalachian State.

The tournament endured a two-hour fog delay on Monday morning, pushing the start of both the first and second rounds back. Every effort will be made to complete both scheduled rounds today to keep things on pace for the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
