Culowhee, N.C. - Freshman Jo Lundberg won the Lady Cats preseason intrasquad tournament, the Judaculla Cup, with rounds of 75-73 this past week at Waynesville Country Club.

She was followed closely by freshman Line Cordes, who shot rounds of 74-76. Finishing out the top three was sophomore Becca Twiner (76-79).

Western opens its 2001 fall schedule this weekend (Sept. 7-9) in Myrtle Beach, S.C., at the Unlimited Potential Baytree Invitational. The event, hosted by the College of Charleston, is the largest women's golf tournament ever held with a field of 34 universities.
