Asheville, N.C. - The Southern Conference announced today that Western Carolina's Line Cordes was selected as the SoCon Women's Golf Player of the Week for April 10. This is the second time this season Cordes has received the honor.

A freshman from Bronderslev, Denmark, Cordes finished second at the Lady Catamount Tournament April 8-9. She shot a school-record 144 (71-73), breaking the 36-hole record she set at the Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate in October. Cordes helped the Lady Catamounts set a two-round record of 606 (300-306) while finishing second overall.

The Lady Catamounts are currently competing in the Eastern Kentucky Classic in Richmond, Ky. They stand tied at sixth place after the first day of competition. They are on day two of the three day tournament, which runs April 11-13.
