Waynesville, N.C. - Freshman Johanna Lundberg tied the WCU individual single-round record, firing a 73, as Western Carolina finished day one fourth in the Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate.

Lundberg is tied for second overall in the tournament, while Line Cordes finished day one tied for 11th tying her personal best of 75. Rebecca Twiner shot 76 on the day and tied for 13th. Mary Faulk and Meredith Beck recorded scores of 86 and 93, respectively. A team score of 311 for the Lady Catamounts broke the school's individual single-round record.

Coastal Carolina leads the tournament with a team total of 305.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the final round of play. The first tee time is scheduled for 8:00 am at the Waynesville Country Club.
