Greenville, N.C. - The Western Carolina women's golf team placed seventh after day one of the Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate. As a team the Lady Cats shot a two round total of 640.

Freshmen Jo Lundberg and Line Cordes tied for fourth overall at the tournament with scores of 76, 74 and 75, 75, respectively. Sophomore Rebecca Twiner finished the day with scores of 83 and 86 for a total of 169. She is currently tied for 58th. Mary Faulk and Brook Stillman rounded out the scoring for the Lady Cats with totals of 171 (86, 85) and 180 (88, 92), respectively.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round of play. The first group is scheduled for a 7:52 a.m. tee-off time at the Greenville Country Club.
