Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Western Carolina women's golf team placed 18th of 31 teams at the Unlimited Potential/Baytree tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Sophomore Rebecca Twiner led the Lady Cats with a three day score of 235 (79, 80, 76), that ranks her second in WCU record books for three round tournaments. Freshman Johanna Lundberg shot 240 for the weekend which ties her at fourth with former Catamount Sarah Parris in WCU record books. Lundberg placed 42nd. Freshman Line Cordes tied for 69th with a three round score of 245 (83, 79, 83).

Rounding out the tournament for the Cats were senior Mary Faulk and freshman Meredith Beck. Faulk shot 253 (87-82-84), who tied for 114th, while Beck shot 279 (96-88-95) tied for 155th.

WCU will travel to Radford for the Draper Valley Lady Highlander September 17-19.
